FICA Tip Credit Report:
Did you know Restaurant owners are entitled to a special tax credit for FICA taxes paid in excess of the federal or state minimum wage, which ever is higher? This credit can be worth hundreds of dollars per employee. As a subscriber to Paypro you'll get a report with each payroll, tracking your credit. This report is provided to you FREE of charge. Uncollected Tax Report:
As an employer of a food and beverage establishment, tips paid to your employees, whether cash or included in a charge, is taxable income. As income, these tips are subject to Social Security and Medicare taxes. As you know, it's normal for an employee not to earn enough wages to cover the taxes on the cash tip portion of their compensation. With each payroll you'll get our Uncollected Tax Report, which identifies which employees have a shortfall and the amount required to catch-up. In addition, any shortfall can be reported directly to your employee on their pay-check stub.
Our Uncollected Tax Report and check stub reporting are provided to you FREE of charge. Now both you and your employee are kept up to date with the opportunity to recover any uncollected taxes from an employee's next paycheck.
Tip Sign Off Sheet:
With each payroll, we'll provide you with a "Tips Sign Off" sheet. This form, provided to you FREE of charge will keep you in compliance with federal record keeping laws regarding employee tip income.
Food and Beverage Tip Guideline Report:
As you may know, federal guidelines require all employers of tip employees to determine if their employees have reported tips in aggregate of at least 8% of the establishment's gross sales subject to tipping. If all the employees' reported tips total less than 8%, then the employer must allocate the difference among all tipped employees. This calculation can be cumbersome and time consuming. We're here to help!
With every payroll you'll receive the Paypro Food and Beverage Tip Guideline Report. This report will tell you your tip wages reported and within minutes you'll determine according to federal guidelines if you need to allocate tips. The Food and Beverage Tip Guideline Report is FREE of charge!
Tip Allocation Service:
If your establishment falls under the minimum federal guidelines of 8%, no problem, our tip allocating service is easy and simple to use. By using our service we relieve you of the responsibilities of calculating tip allocations and provide you with a management report indicating your compliance, and at year end any tip allocation totals are reported on your employee's W-2 Forms. In addition, we'll also provide you with federal form 8027, "Employer's Annual Information Return of Tip Income and Allocated Tips".
Time and Attendance, Point of Sale Payroll Interfaces
If you own or operate a large food or beverage establishment we can interface with your Point of Sale software to retrieve employees hours worked, cash tips reported and charge tips due.
