Bob GaNun, an Employee Benefits Specialist at Paypro Corporation, will be running a St. Baldrick’s Foundation head-shaving event for childhood cancer research for the eighth year.  This year’s event will take place on April 25, 2015 from 2pm-6pm at Trinity Restaurant in Floral Park, NY.  Bob has been involved with the St. Baldrick’s organization for the past eight years and during that time this event has raised over $1.1 million dollars for pediatric cancer research.

This year’s event is In Memory of Aiden.  Aiden Binkley is one of over 2,700 St. Baldrick’s Foundation Honored Kids. Aiden was 11 when he became an angel on Dec. 30, 2010, due to Rhabdomyosarcoma.  This St. Baldrick’s event is held in his memory. Click here to view this event’s website.

St Baldricks

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity dedicated to raising money for life-saving childhood cancer research and funds more in childhood cancer grants than any organization except for the U.S. government.

St. Baldrick’s began as a head-shaving event and that continues to be the signature event of the Foundation. Shavees ℠ ask friends and family to make donations “on their head” and in return, they attend one of thousands of volunteer-organized events around the world where they have their heads shaved in solidarity with kids fighting cancer.
